CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – Nov. 25, 2014) – Quorum Information Technologies Inc. (TSX VENTURE:QIS) (Quorum), a company that focuses on helping automotive dealerships Make More Money (M3) through its revenue-generating dealership and customer management system software, XSellerator™, is pleased to announce today that Communicator has already surpassed a million messages in 2014. Communicator is an innovative and ground-breaking feature of Quorum's DMS than enables dealerships to communicate with their customers through email and text, including automated messaging triggers, based on the customer's preference.
“This milestone is a thrilling validation of how on target we are with the creation, development and continued enhancement of the Communicator solution,” commented Maury Marks, Quorum's President & CEO. “Communicator began as a suggestion from one of our customers and has expanded to become a comprehensive tool for dealerships to converse with their customers and internally with their staff. When we first launched Communicator, we never imagined setting a goal of one million messages, let alone hitting that mark in 2014.”
Starting with a basic Microsoft unified messaging engine at its core, Quorum's team built extensions to handle 2-way communication via a mixture of email and mobile texting and attaches the entire dialogue with the transaction in which it is associated. For example, a customer may indicate that they prefer to be texted when their vehicle is ready for pick up in service. The service advisor notes that preference with a couple of clicks, and at the completion of the final case on the repair order, a text message is automatically sent to the customer. The unique feature, however, is that the customer can reply and the advisor can reply to that (to schedule a shuttle pick-up, for instance). It is all stored with the customer's repair order and communication history forever.
Today, almost 50% of Quorum's dealers rely on the Communicator functionality daily to improve communication with their customers, boosting their own customer satisfaction scores. Besides the ability to send and receive messages from customers right from within the DMS on a real-time basis, Communicator now boasts nearly 20 automated “plug-ins” that generate messages externally to customers and internally to dealership employees based on transactions in XSellerator. For instance, customers may get messages from the dealership, reminding them of service or sales appointments, notifying them when parts are received or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up. Internally, dealership sales employees can be notified when their customer is in for service, and whether the vehicle is a good candidate for an extended warranty sale.
When asked what the plan for Communicator in 2015 is, Marks relied, “We've already decided that our goal is to reach two million messages next year! The really neat thing is that we know that the more dealerships are using it, the better they are serving their customers and we are proud to be a part of helping them do that.”
Quorum will be showcasing Communicator along with its entire DMS, XSellerator, at the National Automotive Dealer Association (NADA) Convention in San Francisco January 23rd -25th, 2015, at the Moscone Convention Center, Booth #4465N.
